In the event that the apartment is returned in exceptionally dirty or disorderly condition, requiring additional cleaning beyond the usual, an extra charge will be applied to cover the cost of the cleaning.

Sauna, fireplace & heating

Sauna

Great living calls for proper sauna time. Here’s how to fire it up:

  1. Switch on the sauna.
  2. Hold the heat symbol for 3 seconds.
  3. Wait for the light to change from blue to orange – and that’s your cue to start sweating in style.

Fireplace

Want the perfect fire? It’s all about the airflow.

Closed: If the chimney lever is pointing up, it’s closed. No airflow, no fire magic.

Open: Lever down? The chimney’s open, and your fire is free to breathe.

Default: When you’re not using the fireplace, keep the lever horizontal. It’s the Switzerland of positions – neutral and safe.

Dots: Adjust airflow with the dot system to fine-tune the flames.

One dot: Maximum air = a fiery blaze that burns fast and fierce.

Three dots: Minimal air = a slow, steady burn for those long, cozy evenings.

How to use the electric chimney

  • Firstly ensure the water tank is filled to 80%, which is located underneath the wood.
You may fill it with normal tap water by unscrewing the lid located underneath the tank. Only close the lid firmly and not too tight.
  • Underneath the chimney on the left side ensure the machine is turned on.
  • On the right hand side, ensure the button is on the fire icon
  •  Turn on the remote control by pushing the main button, it will then flash FIRE and be turned on. It may take up to 30 seconds for it to start.
  • To turn it off, simply push the main button on the remote control, it will flash OFF and press the main button again, followed by turning off both switches.

Heating

This building is brand new, and to keep things just right, we need to maintain a steady 22°C (72°F) inside.

Please keep the heating on – don’t switch it off.
Set the temperature knob about two lines from the top for the perfect balance.

Feeling too warm? Crack open a window for a bit. Fresh air works wonders.

Want it warmer? Feel free to turn it up, but please don’t go below the horizontal setting in the photo.

Thanks for your consideration and helping us keep things cozy!

Inventory checklist

Please take a moment to scan the inventory checklist when you check in – and again before you check out. It helps make sure everything’s where it should be, for you and the next lucky guest. You’ll find the checklist in the apartment. If it’s playing hide and seek, just give us a shout.

Waste management & recycling info

Saas-Fee takes waste management seriously. You know, a pristine Alpine paradise doesn’t stay that way by accident. Here’s how to do your part:

Sort it out

Separate your waste into general waste, recyclables (paper, glass, plastics), and organic waste.

Trash bags

You’ll need an official orange waste bag, available at Coop and Migros in different sizes.

Collection days

Place your bag outside the building on Tuesdays and Fridays up until 13:00 o’clock, and it’ll be picked up during the day.

Recycling drop-off

Got plastic to recycle? We provide you with Official Plastic bags to recycle all plastic. As well, Head to Coop or Migros, where you can dispose of PET and plastic bottles.

That’s it – simple and sustainable. Keep it clean, keep it green.

Our house rules & Code of conduct

To keep things cozy and enjoyable for everyone, we’ve put together a few guidelines. Nothing too serious – just common courtesy wrapped in a bow.

Keep it chill

No smoking, please: Let’s keep it as fresh as the Alps, please. We’re a non-smoking resort, because nothing should compete with that crisp mountain air. Smoking indoors is strictly off-limits, and we kindly ask you not to light up on the balconies either – the views deserve better.
